AN INDEX OF EUPHONIOUS AGGREGATES Lake Forest College, Illinois and A+D Gallery, Columbia College, Chicago, Illinois, 2013 A list of impossible musical chords made in cut vinyl are displayed on the walls of the gallery. This list is recited at spaced increments by a male voice over a one-channel speaker. This initial list is followed by a list of impossible chords recited by several other vocalists. This new poly-vocal list is followed by a list or sequence of sung notes which appear at first as isolated moments and then later become combined to form dissonant chords. In a separate installation a line of text from the audio is translated into a series of dots. Consonants are represented by the color black. The vowel "a" is represented by the color red. The vowel "e" is represented by the color yellow. The vowel "o" is represented by the color blue.
